Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I do a session? And how long should it be?

I recommend at least 3 sessions per week, about 20 minutes each, including warm-up plus 2–3 targeted areas of your choice. If you can do more, go for it! Life gets busy? No worries, just jump back in whenever you can.

How long does it typically take to see results?

Everyone’s different, but most members notice an immediate sense of calm and relaxation. With 2–4 weeks of consistent practice, most see improved muscle tone, circulation, and a naturally lifted appearance. Many also report back that people are telling them they look great, even if they can't quite put their finger on why. :) One word: inner radiance. Okay, that's two words.

Do I need any special equipment?

While I love using a gua sha and a high-glide serum or oil, nothing beats the warmth of your own hands. Your nervous system responds best to gentle touch from your own fingers, making your muscles and fascia more responsive.

I provide a short list of inexpensive tools when you sign up, but you can absolutely skip them and still get amazing results with the classes that don’t require any tools.

Can I do face yoga with long nails?

The honest answer: it's best with short nails. But don’t worry, I offer safe alternatives using tools for certain exercises, so you can still practice effectively.


As always, listen to your body and practice discernment.

Will face yoga work for TMJ relief?

Yes! Many of the routines are designed to release tension in the jaw, neck, and facial muscles, helping to ease discomfort from TMJ.
Follow the exercises at your own pace, and over time you may notice less tension, improved movement, and a calmer jaw. However, please note: it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Can I practice face yoga if I get Botox?

Yes, you can! But it’s important to check with your provider to see how long you should wait after treatment.

Since Botox temporarily relaxes or paralyzes the targeted muscles, face yoga exercises on those areas may not have the intended effect right away. Many people still enjoy face yoga for other areas of the face or for relaxation, circulation, and overall well-being.

I’m a beginner. Will I be able to follow along?

Yes! We’re all beginners at face yoga, since nobody was ever taught this before. Every session includes clear, step-by-step instructions. When you’re ready, progressions and advanced techniques are available and clearly marked. Don’t worry—it never gets overly complicated!

What if I miss a week?

Well, look at you being a normal human! It happens. Think of it like the gym... sometimes life gets in the way. Just hop straight back in when you’re ready, listen to your body, and keep going.

Is this suitable for men?

If you have a face, the answer is yes! For some reason, men don’t always want others to know they’re into face yoga, but trust me, plenty are. And the ladies think it's hot! Whether you’re looking for jaw relief, a sharper profile, smoothing wrinkles, or just less tension in your face, you’ll feel the benefits. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me!

Is face yoga just about not having wrinkles?

So glad you asked!

These routines improve your breathing, posture, stress levels, and overall energy. By working with your facial muscles and nervous system, you’ll notice tension melting away, your jaw relaxing (I’ve yet to meet anyone with a relaxed masseter!), and your whole body coming into better alignment. That’s why the online library includes so much more than just “face stuff.”
